Art Jamming for Beginners Themes:Â
The following are some beginner-friendly themes and art jamming ideas that are perfect for starting off, especially when it’s your first time diving into the realm of the arts.
Minimalist Theme

In general, there are 4-5 colours in the canvas, and the colour palettes are matching and goes well together. Some of the common colours and shades are beige, pastel pink, white, black and navy blue, tiffany green or teal colours. There is no colour toning, hence it is very beginner friendly. In general, the minimalist style is easy to create since very few colours are needed, while portraying a sleek and clean feel.
Scenery Theme

In a nutshell, people usually like it because of the colour gradient. They find it therapeutic and relaxing, and is also more beginner friendly. The silhouettes can be easily achieved by using black paint to paint over the background.
Animal Theme

Pet lovers tend to like drawing their pets, and dogs and cats are the most common among them. It can post a challenge due to the details needed to paint it. Irregardless of your artistic experience, our artists will be here to guide you along your artistic journey in this field.
Cartoons/Anime Theme

Due to the nature of the colours, the canvas usually stands out a lot. The colours used in this case are more vibrant and bright. We usually use warmer colours in this art style. Depending on the anime/cartoon, some colour toning might be needed, hence it may not be as beginner friendly in this sense. The details of the character may vary depending on the cartoon or anime.
Abstract Theme

Abstract art is the most beginner friendly and objective-based. It is very liberal, and consists of different shapes and sizes. The colours can be wrapped and meshed according to the artist’s perception. It can be perceived in many manners and interpreted in many ways.
Realism Theme

Realism-theme is usually the least beginner friendly out of the 6 themes. You will need blending skills and techniques and catch the highlights and shadows of the subject you are trying to paint. Additionally, due to the nature of the paint (acrylic), the paint tends to dry up very fast and you might need to repaint the whole layer. However, with a proficient artist like Celine Chia to guide you along, you will definitely end up with a beautiful masterpiece. Although this style of art is the hardest to recreate, but the feeling of satisfaction is definitely immense once you manage to complete this beautiful work of art.
