Materials needed for Mistletoe Craft:
- 2 sheets of newspaper
- Tape
- Scissors
- Super Glue
- Thick ribbons (red/green), approximately 2m (depending on thickness)
- (Optional) Polypropylene (plastic) ribbon approximately 0.7m
- A4 Drawing Block
- Pencil & Colour Pencils
- Hole Puncher
- (Optional) Permanent Marker
Steps to make Mistletoe Craft:
Firstly we start by rolling the sheet of newspaper. Keep the roll relatively compact to prevent the craft from being overly flimsy.
Secondly, we secure the end of the roll with tape.
Thirdly, we repeat for the other sheet of newspaper.
Fourthly, bend/crush both the rolls of newspaper gently to form an arch. (Each roll of newspaper forms half the mistletoe)
Next, we connect the ends of both the newspaper rolls to form a circle. Secure these ends with tape. (Make sure that the tape wraps around the connecting ends. You may need to wrap the tape around it a few times.)
Thereafter, we follow up with using super glue to secure one end of the ribbon to the newspaper ring that we just made.
(Optional) Coil the polypropylene ribbon around the ring. Note that the coils for this can be bigger/more spaced out, as we do not want to cover too much of the base ribbons.

Next, we secure the ends of the polypropylene ribbon by tying a knot or with glue.
For the middle (empty) part of the ring, we can decorate it with our own creative designs using the A4 drawing block.
We mark out the size of the ring on the drawing block to ensure that we do not make our drawings too big or leave too much empty space.
Let your creativity take flight and add your own personal touch!
After designing the middle part of the ring, we proceed with cutting out the drawing.
Punch a hole near the top of your drawing and use a ribbon to attach it to the ring.
As we want the drawing to fill up the space in the middle of the ring, take note not to tie our design too close or too tightly to the top of the ring.
And your mistletoe craft is completed! Hang it up and give your home a festive touch!
Materials needed for Christmas Paper Candy Craft:
- A3 construction paper (coloured)
- A4 Drawing Block
- Pencil & Colour Pencils
- Ribbon
- Super Glue
Steps to make Christmas Paper Candy Craft:
Firstly, start by folding 3cm on one end of the A3 construction paper.

Secondly, we fold the remaining parts of the construction paper into 4 equal sections. (as shown in the above image)
Thirdly, while keeping the paper folded at ΒΌ , fold 6cm from both ends of the paper as shown in the image below.

Next, cut out the corners of the paper. (Be sure to hold the paper firmly as we are cutting out a few layers).
Unfold the construction paper, we should now see the rough shape of the candy.

Apply super glue to the 3cm flap and attach the ends of the construction paper.
Note that the 3cm glued part should be at the bottom/inner layer to avoid seeing the flap on the exterior of the craft.
Use ribbons to tie the ends (the indent that was cut off previously) of the candy.
You can consider placing some small presents (candies/chocolates, etc) inside before tying the ends up. Doodle your favourite characters/designs on the drawing block.
Cut your doodles/drawings out once you are done and glue them to the exterior of the candy.
